I have the CS5k.....wrong about the CS5k...they do NOT support it anymore, nor will they again !! we have to thank Nor-w for still being able to use this flowerbox with a cord ! And CW is the way i'm going because they have the best support right now !! The BEST

All, I really confused about Coolsat Receiver, is this brand a Good one?, I recently buy my first FTA Receiver CS8100HD which one cost me 400 bucks, and I only read a negatives feedbacks about Coolsat, I should buy another brand and sells my?, wich brand is good and always get the fix quickly?

coolsat is a good brand unfortunately their support for their stbs have come into question.you should be ok with your 8100 because it is a newer model which is getting support.its the older models that seem to have lost coolsats support

well, I have viewsat ex. purchased about 2.5 yrs. ago, decided to go with cs 5000 few months later app. 2 yrs old as second receiver for family room. In an earlier post re upgrading to newer model cs. I have to say no flippin way. As everyone knows vs has had major problems with clones and it has been going on for a LONG time (not shouting) did they drop support or has it hindered support no. The clone issue is a smoke screen, it comes down to politics. The sad thing is that already politics is coming into play with the dongles. A mod at another site is saying to hold off on buying the dongle for 7ooo I believe. Not good when its a new product. Cs. really needs to get their act together.

waited for a fix for two weeks and said screw this bought a viewsat and the difference is night and day on the weekend we were the only ones up and running gave my box away for nothing which is what coolsat is worth

What do you mean?who cares about coolsats clones?Let me tell you something that coolsat company(cooder)working hard for a bin.That all others who build clones receiver make the money.

Maybe there is still hope with the dongle. Heard IKS on the coolsat was only down 16 hours longer than the Nfusion during the big blackout last week.

My take is the best one can do is put the CS's away and stop getting further upset with this manufacturer. Move on! I have a 4 & 5K, I don't like what I purchased some time ago any more than others but I have got my money's worth with both of them.

I just don't want to go through this crap every time an ECM happens. No matter how upset we get it does not get CS to respond faster. As the 4 & 5K units age, CS's response is certainly going to be even slower. The only revenge available is to avoid their products.
