CS5K sad truth - ABA DSS

Someone else asked this question but the thread got locked out:

"Running a coolsat 5000 with the latest BIN (1.73) but we are getting scramble channel message. Any ideas on what the problem may be?

Here's the sad truth to our beloved Coolsat 5000 brother, all the bin writers are actually paid by the "man" and the "man" is pissed off that there are so many "clone" copies of Coolsat 4000, 5000 and 6000 out there so the "man" is doing a total scrap of anything to do with these FTA receivers. We coolsat 5000'ers always will get a fix at least a week or so after all the others are up. You go out on the net and type in coolsatusa dot com and read the stuff they say about our beloved FTA receiver, they'er just dropping it and walking away. Thing that bugs me is that I was all over this baby, loved it, got a few peeps all hooked up with it and then Coolsat just figures it best to chop us all off like some kind of a "gang green" prob... Sure there will be a fix coming in a week or so, but coolsat has no choice but to disappear once we've all upgraded to a completely different fta receiver. Coolsat has sliced a knife across it's own neck here... next year it will be interesting to see how coolsat is doing.

I can't believe that you have not yet upgraded to another system provider. You are standing firm on quicksand; you are indeed the man. I, however, am the proverbial idiot who can't let go of the outdated CS system.

What is your backup? You are a really smart guy; you certainly have a really reliable backup fta system. Just a hint, please?

coolsat makes receivers but has no files so they can work .
so what's the point to purchase a dead receiver ?

Okay, so that is my last rant about the Coolsat dee-bokkle, I'm gonna just let er go... But I tell you what brah, as soon as I get all set up with a "back up" receiver I'll be sure to let ya all know which part of the forum to find me in ;-)
soon I'll leave my coolsat in the dusty old box that holds my old D irect T V reciever and my old Pansat 2300A reciever.

truthful and to the point, thanks.
it is hard to have an abandoned receiver, there are several.
its actually a nice box, seems to have been caught up in politics.
i was hoping they would make a dongle to work with it, who knows.

its true what you said tho, you like many bought a unit in good faith and now you have been disenfranchised. its hard to take. i gambled on a unit too, god knows what will be up in a year. i just figure, its part of the game, its a hobby with porn!

,, its sad really, I dont know what to say, the only thing i could say is that, who cares if theres clones out there, they should just keep makin the old bins no matter what, and also i think this is a way to increase sales on the new coolsat boxes ...

Or maybe if they are not going to support it they could buy back all authentic boxes at original retail price to try and satisfy all the customers they have lost.

It's all about the all mighty dollar, everything is made dissposable to keep you buying the newer receivers. What kills me is they have specials on them to get you to buy, goes for all old receivers, sad for the one's who buy them now! Cs 4-6 is good for door stoppers now, i'm new and see this :-)

why don't you c w guys go huck your weres somewheres else this is a cs fourm an cs people dont need top here from people just tring to sell cw's an vewsats an other junk. we like are c s's we just need to up gade to 6100's 7100's and 8100 .not that 5000 & 6000 are not suported they are but 6100/7100/8100/ are saported better just like the pansat 2500a is not saported as well as the 250 . newer boxes get more saport thin older boxes we don't have to change from cs to get saport just upgrade to newer boxes(the 8100 files are out now just 12 hours after dn went down can u say that about cw?no i dident think so)
