need usb to rs232 xp driver

Hi does anyone know where I can download a usb to rs232 driver for windows xp pro the cable I bought came with a disk but I loaded it and it still didn't work, then I went to properties of the device manager and found out that the driver was for windows NT and 98 only. I would appreciate if someone can steer me in the right direction.

Google the make of cable you have and add the words driver and XP There might be a generic driver posted here.

yeah i had one like that radio shack has new ones their black cables w/new software the old white ones dont work

Tell me the brand of the cable, belkin or something else, i have few here that i can post on the site,

the cable is a Hugepine I went to their web site and found nothing but useless links.
