Re: Support for Coossat 4k, 5k & 6k
I have a little insider information to pass along. Yes it is true that NORW Group has been working to get bin support for the older 4, 5 and 6K boxes for some time now. However please do a wait and see, as the spokesman responsable for the NORW post may have jumped the gun and been premature in posting this information. October is just around the corner, in 4 weeks November rolls around we will all know by then. For the time being this is all I am permitted to state.

Re: Support for Coossat 4k, 5k & 6k
Well I bought an other brand.
I'm tired of being fooled by these people. It's just childish.
I'm sorry but I'm not buying any coolsats ever. With a 4,5,and 6k it's enough.

Re: Support for Coossat 4k, 5k & 6k
It appears that the new Norwest group does not have the full source code, but have enough of the code they think to get the dongle to work. Have it from a reliable source that support should be restored via dongle for the 4, 5 and 6K units. This does not mean that full support will not return, but my quess is that if and when support returns you most likely will need a dongle for the first month or so.
Is this a money thing to get you to purchase a dongle???

Re: Support for Coossat 4k, 5k & 6k
i dont know why people got rid of there coolsats, my coolsat 5000 has been woorking like a champ on bin 177 for the past month on bev. i have a sonic view 360 primier in my livingroom and i use my 5000 in the bedroom its always been working with old bins but 177 has been on for a month, even when the last 2 ECMs hit and my 360 went down the coolsat5000 was still kicking. i got my moneys worth along time ago this is just cherrys ontop

Re: Support for Coolsat 4k, 5k & 6k
It's here folks...
The new "Promised" support for the older units. (4000 / 5000 / 6000)
Bin 180...released today as NORW Group said, "in October".
So, everybody go wipe the dust off your receivers & enjoy...
