what happen
I dont have a cs 4,5 or 6(got a 7000)but i was wondering i thought the cs team was going to help these guy with these receivers in oct.i guess they could say waiting for all to go down but thats not what they promised.i know ppl should upgrade & they cant say cant afford it because 4 months of paying would buy the new receiver. If coolsat wants to stay on the market they should keep their word.i have had my cs7000 over two years & got more than my money worth so you will never hear me complain when they quit support on it but you will see me in forums under a different receiver

Re: what happen
I have a cs5000 and I'm waiting also for a fix for them. If I have to buy another brand, which one would work longterm. I don't want to have to experience this again.

Re: what happen
I would suggest either Viewsat or Sonicview both are excellent choices. As a bonus their files are usually the first out.

Re: what happen
what hapened is, that they simply stop support to this receivers;the 4000 and 5000 they were sort of old but the 6000 wassn't,they say that theyre stbs were getting clone that's why they stop the support, to me is just an excuse to upgrade and sell new receivers,so don't be surprise in the future when they drop the 7000 also.

Re: what happen
the two that was mention do have great support.i got my g/f the cnx mini & let me tell you that unit stayed up a couple times when everyone was down.i was amazed.cnx models also have great support.i dongle my cs7000,& they work but still have a few bugs, not bad though($90.00)add alittle more & have a brand new receiver.I have a neosat 2000 that is a great receiver-works good by its self or iks.my nfusion wouldn't trade for anything.very good back-up.most of the receivers are very good just depends on what you expect & want one to do.do alot & i mean alot of reading before you make up of mind.keep checking which one gets good support.iam not bragging that i have money because 4 different units . Iam retired & love testing or you could say bored?
