I want to know I am having problem with my coolsat 5000 ii load the new files a few days ago and it ss says scramble channel every 1 min what can I do

On the back of your STB (unit) there is a rocker switch that cuts the power OFF to the unit. Look at the back of the STB and you can see it. Turn the switch OFF, wait 30 seconds or so and then turn back on. This is called a hard re-boot. do not do anything while the STB is powering back up and booting...

i have same issue. running on bin 189 for CS5000, freezing every minute or so.

I try the hard reboot and I still the same I have the 189 bin file the 6000 coolsat I have work well but the 5000 is the one that giving the problem

Wait till Coolsat releases there newer bin. If the hard re-boot didn't help, it will take a revised or new bin file...

I would like to know which receiver I can buy that I will get file for the quickest because I have a CS 5000 and the files is slow in coming

they all come out rather quickly other than coolsat; the files that was released recently only the coolsat 5000 seems to be having a problem with the file as all others are working good. If your looking for one that was quick to get up captiveworks, viewsat ,cnx and others are good but with the upcoming nagra 3 change i would look at a nfusion if you have dsl at home since thats the only thing working on bev now

Relax for now & hold that CS5000.
We have new support for this unit & we always go down every week or less.
I expect to see new bins tonight for all CS models.
Buying a new receiver at this time is not smart with changes over the horizion.

After you get the new bin190 tomorrow, you can read my CoolSat Setup Instructions (below) to help you upload the factory file...upload the current bin190...do a Factory DataBase Reset...make settings...get good signal...verify birds...autoscan birds...done.

thanks for the heads up, was thinkin about a sonicview but ill wait it out and hope for cs5000 to hold up
