thanks to all and aba,well a friend of mine just gave me a coolsat 5000 p & a 18" dishnetwork 500 quad.He said the codes were installed and ready to go,all I know is that I put my dish pointing south on my roof.I dont know anything on were to point it correctly and were to start.I have a lnb quad,that says1a 1b,2a 2b),so since I only have one receiver I hooked up my coax to the left one that says1a on my dish),then from my dish I made a loop on the coax cable and ran it down and hooked it to my coolsat 5000 receiver,were it says LNB input.Then from my audio video in my coolsat to my LCD tV.On my coolsat menu I went to sat dish setting,and I put the following:**(Satalite is: 119.0 Echostar 7,LNB powern,LNB type:OCS-DP,LBN FReq:11.250,22KHZff,Diseqc switch:1.0,Committed:2,Legacy swff)**And still im getting level bar thats about 80% but its red,and a quality bar of:8% and its also red.My question is which one is suppossed to turn green?the Lever bars,or the Quality bars?Also on the other coolsat satalite setting I have no Idea what to do,I used to have Channels now I have none.I think I deleted the channels by messing with the coolsat menus.Another question,Do I have to enter my zipe code on this coolsat or something?And do I need a spliter or switch on my satalite to my coolsat receiver?Im lost,hope someone can help.Thanks

your dish is off,,your signal reading should be (closer) to 100% .

welcome:
no u dont need a diq.swt. the lnb has one in it .
the bars must bouth be green.
after u get good singnel then u can scann for channels.
no place to enter your zipcoad.
eather u can take your box up to the roof an a tv and adjust your sat tell u get green or (like i do) get your wife (or girl frend or any one in the house )
to watch the tv for green signel an eathet by walkytalky or cell phone tell u when your close after that its all( info on screen)
