This section describes how to download the software for the StarCruiser 9000 model receivers. You have the option to use either the lemon software, or Window's HyperTerminal ™ software.

Software upgrade
You must use the "lemon" loader or Window's HyperTerminal software to download software into StarCruiser 9000/SatCruiser dsr-101 Plus+ model

Using the "Lemon" Loader..

• Connect the receiver to your PC using a "null modem" cable.
• Turn off the power of the receiver using the switch on the back panel.
• Activate the "lemon" loader software. Click on the COM1:115200 several times until it changes to COM1:57600
• Click on "Open File" and select the software that is specific to your model and boot version
• Click on Start Down button. You will see a message asking you to "reboot your STB". Click on OK
• Turn the power switch on from the back panel of the receiver.
• You should see "progress bar" indicating the progress of the transfer.
• Wait until you see "GOOD" on the front panel of the receiver.
• Connect your receiver and initialize it as follows (menu, system setting, factory default)
  
  Using the HyperTerminal Software
• Connect the receiver to your PC using a "null modem" cable
• Turn off the power of the receiver using the back panel switch.
• Press the Z button on the keyboard and keep it pressed down then turn on the power of the receiver using the switch on the back panel. Do not let go of the Z button until you see a menu on the HyperTerminal. The menu will show the following
  1. Upgrade Software
  2. Upgrade Boot
  3. Exit
• Select 1 for software upgrade
• In the HyperTerminal menu, select "Transfer" then "Send". Select "Browse" and select the "firmware" for your receiver.
• You should see the "Progress bar" indicating the progress of the transfer
• Wait until you see "GOOD" on the front panel of the receiver.
• Connect your receiver to your TV and initialize it as follows (menu, system setting, factory default)
  
  Changing the keys
  This procedure describes how to change the keys on the StarCruiser 9000 models. Use your remote control.
• Menu, installation, ok, edit key, ok
• Use down channel to highlight N-Code and press OK
• The first line (PP=1801) should be highlighted, press OK
• Use Volume key to highlight the key field and press OK
• Enter 8 Hex numbers values for key 00
• Press MENU to go back to KEYS screen
• Channel down to key 11 for provider 1801 and press OK
• Use volume key to highlight the key field and press OK
• Enter 8 Hex numbers for key 11
• Press MENU several time to get back to TV screen
• Watch TV
