triple lnb, dish 500, coolsat 6000 set up?
ok, heres the deal, I just bought another dish, it is a directv triple lnb oval. I currently have a dish 500 pointed at 110, 119. I want to take the directv dish and aim it at 101,110, and 119. Then take the dish 500 and aim it at BEV 81, and 92. Will my coolsat 6000 accept all of these dishes at the same time?
thanks,jamie
ps. my wife thinks Im going crazy with my new found hobby, she says the neighbors are gonna start talking if I dont stop putting dishes on the house.
anyone else have this problem??

First, I don't think you can't get both 110 & 119 with DTV dish. Why don't you do this way, use dish 500 get 110 & 119 and use DTV dish get 91. Just use 4x1 switch connect all the sats. Your Coolsat will handle all those sats with out a problem

still not sure?
I am still not sure what you mean about the triple lnb directv dish not being able to pick up 110 and 119. they are all over ebay and they say they work on fta and pick up sats 109, 110, and 119. why would they not recieve those sats? am I missing somthing somwhere?

DTV dish doesn't work well on FTA receivers, either you are going to get 110 or 119, that's why I suggest that you use that DTV dish to catch 91 and use Dish 500 catch 110 & 119

ok , I am starting to understand, one more quick question, I read on a another site that the dish will catch 91 109 and 110, is this true? if so can I use my subscribed dircectv on the center lnb . The reason I ask is I have a subscription to directv and that sat is on 109. will this work, catch 91 109 110 with the triple and catch 119 with my dish 500. I will run 91 110 119 to my coolsat and run the 109 to my directv reciever. Thank you for answering all of these questions , I am trying to elimanate one dish instead of having three dishes can two do this job, ,, agian, thank you!!

ok, try to connect your Coolsat to DTV dish and see If you able able to pick up those signal or not. but first you need to do factory reset and redo your LNB setting.

DTV dish
I use a 3 lnb dtv oval dish for the 91 110 and 119. It works great. You need the older style dish with the individual lnb holder. Mine is a channel master composite (plastic) 18 X 20 Oval. I just glued an lnb to the 101 lnb and got the 91 with no problem. I made a dish for a friend out of the new style dish with the tripple sat molded lnb. I used 3 dtv standard lnb's. I just cut the ends of the mast arm just enough to put two lnbs together in the arm and then took a flat piece of steel and bolted it across the lnb screw holes for the 91 sat. This took a little playing around to fine tune in the 91 but it worked great.
This is only worth doing if you have a Birdog sat meter or any really good sat meter. This will insure you are tuning into the correct sat's with out killing yourself!!!

I don't think that the trip sat dish will get the 109 and the 110 at the same time. The sat's are too close together. I dont think that you can peak the signal on both at the same time. The lnb's need to look at practly the same spot. It may work but you will need to sacrafice signal between the two sats. You are better off using a round dish for the 109. You will get the 91 110 and 119 on the trip sat dish with out a problem. Remember, the 91 lnb needs to be to the right of the 101 sat position on the mast arm.
