coolsat 6000 help

hello
the reason i reply is becouse i'm having same problem with my coolsat 4000
and i know the cable is detected by the computer but nothing happens after i click on the download button
the only thing its say (plug the cable and turn on the receiver ) from the a see no pregres stays there forever.
so any one with and answer to that
please thank you

The cord that didn't work on your ultra will probably be the cord you need for the coolsat.

The send and receive RS232 (serial data transfer) chips in the receivers are somewhat fragile. You can blow them by connecting and disconnecting your data cable with the receiver and PC power ON!

You MUST have all power turned OFF when connecting those data cables.
You might even get away with it for several times and then Kableweeee!

I guess I just lucked out, because the guy who set up my system never turned the power off when he connected the data cable. Now I just leave it connected to the PC and CS6k all the time.... no problem.

The same thing applies to the coaxial cables, LNB's and switches.
ONLY make connections with Power OFF.

Hello and Welcome!! No fix yet. Keep an eye on the download section and you will notice when it does. You will require a membership upgrade to get downloads here, ask all questions you like.
