CS6000 Keeps Resetting

My Coolsat 6000 keeps resetting. I tried powering on and off, but it keeps resetting by itself. I can't make it stop. Tried to reload bin but the loader will not let me do so because of the constantly resetting. Is there a solution or is the machine cooked?

Re: CS6000 Keeps Resetting

I assume the unit is turning it self on and off. Right now all I can think of is that it's maybe too hot. Try leaving it unplugged and away from any heat sources for a while. Or unless someone else has an idea. There is a capacitor that could be replaced it this problem continues. Let me know and I will post instructions on which one to replace.

Re: CS6000 Keeps Resetting

I shut is off for about an hour so I don't think it is over heating. I just keeps recycling. When it does that the channel comes up for a split second so I suppose you may be right and it is the capacitor. That would make sense I think.

Force load it,start your loader with fac bin, click pc-stb first and turn on stb from back.

The pic shows which one, it will have to get approved so it might take a while.

If you have a dead 5000 or 6000 coolsat box try this, replace this part (see pictures) I have fix 1 5000 and 1 6000 box now. one that had no lights or any power on it and 1 that had dim lights on it and both had the same part bad, you can use any volts that are over 6.3 but you must use
1000 uf. I can not say for sure all boxs have the same volts or uf how ever i have look at 4 boxs and all were the same. the part I used was 25 v 1000 uf

Re: CS6000 Keeps Resetting

Guy I got it to work. Thanks boboisno1 and lojack for help. Here is what worked. Connected stb to my computer. I forced bin 100 in by constantly clicking start on the Coolsat loader with my mouse while switching the power on and off with my Coolsat 6000. Eventually I was able to trick bin 100 into the stb. Connected back to tv. Then I did a factory reset. Diconnected from tv. Connected again to computer. After that I loaded in bin 165. Connected back to tv. After a few minutes things rolled and I was up again. Can't thank you guys enough.
