In spite of all the negatives, I do love my CS6000. The first time I had to upload a new bin file I had no idea what I was doing and I went through all the hoops and hurdles as I read in a tutorial I downloaded. I blew out all my Satellite setting, all my channels and locals...everything.
It took me three days to get everything working again and I never did get my locals back till I did a Blind Scan on each of my two sats. (110 & 119)
So now, I never do anything but upload the new bin. Period. When the new bin upload is complete, all the channels open up again with NO problem.
It was that way last night when I did the upload of bin 166.
I was sitting on a local that was just a blank screen. When the upload finished the channel came in like gang busters!
NO factory reset or system reset or even a power switch-OFF was required.
From all the problems I see people having.... I have to conclude that they are just doing TOO MUCH!
The 2.4 loader program is also capable of reading information like your channels list from your receiver and saving it as a data file on your computer.
I have all my channels and settings saved to my computer in case I ever need them again.
Through the last six Bin file uploads, I've not had to rescan for channels or reset my program Presets. I do nothing but upload the bin using the 2.4 loader and VOILA, I'm back in business.
Y'all have a great weekend now, Y'hear?
