There could be lots of different things causing this. I have got 3 of these boxes set up for friends last year and one of them is very quirpy.

Check all outdoor fittings and replace them if you can. Make sure your dish is grounded. If it is, make sure there is no back feed of electricity from the ground source. Try plugging in the unit to an outlet that is on a different circut. Your LNB may be on its way out too.
This one unit that we have is always the first one to go out or flip out near a new ecm. You may simply have to wait for a new bin to correct the issue.

Re: coolsat 6000 problem

I don't know how to upload NORW 1.74P (which works NOW 6/3/08 on my Coolsat 6000). I don't want to download your toolbar (conflicts with other software.) How can I send it and obey the rules. One rule is no attachments.

Re: coolsat 6000 problem

what seems to work for me is , if I get this problem , leaving it off for an hour or two, tried this yesterday , reloaded everything again, watched for an hour orso , shut down and disconected stb and cables, then later on watched 4hrs of movies, picture pixilated a couple of times, could have been the weather,, a bit snowey, but no scrmble channel ect, unplugged went to bed,,, will connect later and report back.... may be we can help someone else with this "testing"
