6000 wont come on

hey fellas keep up the good work. heres my problem right befor the last bin file because it was rar and i didnt instal 7 zip yet i turned my coolsat 6000 box off bout 4 weeks ago. now i get no response i cant get the box to turn on at all no lights or any thing. im stumped cuz everything was workin fine with last bin other than it freezing up before i turned it off any ideas on how to fix this or is my box now a doorstop.thanks

Check the capacitors on the power supply (there should be three in a row )to see if any of them look like they have a crown or blown

are they inside the box and f r blown were can i get replacments

You sure you have power to the outlet. If you do, try unplugging for hour or so and then plug back in. It sounds like you might have got a lightning strike or something like that...

i got the box to turn on now but it comes up with the 4 dashes it blinks then the number 8 comes up and is unresponsive to both the remote and the buttons on box any ideas are greatly appreciated
update now box turns on but then shuts off the 4 dashes come up then turns off and repeats this cycle. its like the box is trying to turn itself on and off or reboot totally lost helppppppppppp thx

you are gonna have to install the factory file then reinstall working bin...make sure you do hard reboots before and after each dl...or better yet you can go out and get yourself a viewsat...lol...jk

sorry for my ignorance its been a wile. anyway im trying to do a factory flash but keeps telling me to connect box and turn on. im positive im using the right com port cuz my 4000 went off with out a hitch. i think because the box seems like it keeps rebooting its not registering with my comp anyone with ideas on how to fix so it will stay on and i can do a fact flash and install the new bin. ps thx for all the help couldnt do it without u

rusty mine was doing the same thing in your coolsat proloader wear it says port try port 2 thats what i had to do hope it works for you.
