Why do you want to send in your coolsat 5000? If its for repair, fine, if its just to try and prove a point, dont waste your money. Keep in around, there may be a conversion file before long.

Re: End of support for CS6000?
just so you know bin 177 did work,it worked for me for nearly a week.it was bouncing last night between scrambled channel and unscrambled channel for over an hour.i expect it's down now though.and the cs rumor about no support, don't believe it till sites like this one remove all the stuff to do with those boxes.then you can believe it.till that day do yourself a favor and don't believe rumors.

Re: End of support for CS6000?
hey viz I know i had mine for about 5 months now and once I had received it the guys here told me that it was a discontinued model which means at any time they will just stop supporting it.See I didnt do my homework all the way, I was mad but for 50 buck on e-bay I guess I cant go wrong.the last few ecm's its taken about 2-3 weeks for new bin. Sorry to say but ya time to upgrade. I just ordered me k-box hero, just waiting for it to arrive now. well good luck, and sorry bout your whole ordeal.

Hey shred, you will be very pleased with the Kbox...Being one of the few guys to offer help on the box, i can tell you its got it quirks. All in all you will be happy with the amazing picture and easy loading. Any questions you may have on it, please ask them in the kbox forum and i will be glad to help.

Re: End of support for CS6000?
I heard that Coolsat was taken over by another company and will be giving support for the 4,5,6 models.

I have been hearing that for months! If they were taken over, why would the company support them? They would only be interested in selling their own product, or the coolsats that is being supported now. I have three coolsat 5000s, and have put them away for now. The only reason I dont get rid of them, is maybe someone will figure out a way to convert to another receiver like the fortek.
