Fix for nightrider lights on Pansat2300A and 2500A

Instructions fixing your Pansat2300A and 2500A.

1) Open Blacklist Stb Updater 1.3a
2) Browse original bin Pansat 2500A or 2300A api BIN included
3) Connect from PC to REC with DB9 straight cable.
4) Keep your receiver off. DON NOT TURN THE RECEIVER ON FROM THE BACK SWICH.
5) Press Send button on BLACKLIST STB UPDATER 1.3a
5) Then turn your receiver on from the back swich within 5 secound.
6) Wait until download completed. DON NOT TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL YOU SEE MESSAGE (Completed)
7) DO NOT LET THE RECEIVER TO RESTART BY IT SELF.
8) After you see message completed, Swich off back button on the back of the receiver right away.
9) Wait for 10 Second and turn your receiver on again.
10) Enjoy Your Tv Back.

Nice try but I tried a million times that procedure yesterday (step by step) and it does'nt work. Can't download anything without power to the receiver.

just you have to press send at the same time that you are turning on the STB

the SAME exact time? because following the 'within 5 secs' instructions sure isnt getting anhy where..........I'll keep trying since I have nothin else to loose.

But I'd be interested in seeing a post from someone who did get a blacked out box to come to life again..........

I too had the nightrider lights. I flashed with the 224 factory bin and a new version of the downloader, then I flashed again with the most recent bin. Of course I had to rescan all of my satellites again...

Your box was lights out dead? and you flashed and the uploader never gave you a 'unable to connect' sort of error?

Is that correct?

where can I get the 224 factory (or any factory) bin?
I personally dont see how a different bin will make any difference in the uploader's error of cant connect/communicate, but as I said before I'll give it a try............

It didn't work. I tried many times. My program has FIX button, no SEND button. Well, I think I have to do it the hard way, Thank you

I'm getting Pansat 2500a receiver. As far as I understand a simple hook up is not enough to make it work, so could someone explain what/where I should download to get it to work. i HAVE A PANSAT CLONE(3500) AND NO LIGHTS ON FRONT SCREEN. IT HAPPEN WHEN i DOWNLOAD THE LATES PANSAT BIN. (instruction say be aware of clone killers)

J-tag is what must be done to repair a dead reciever. An original 3500 is $160 including shipping, how much did you save? Beware of clone killers, they kill.

Hey Bogus. I just downloaded the channel list for the west coast. How do I install it? Just like the regular bins?
I know it's basic, but I don't want to screw up my 2500A.
