First off I want to thank everyone that I read about who gave hints on how to build a Jtag cable. My cousins pansat went dead "meaning no nightrider lights" when the first N2 bin came out. so I decided to fix it myself so I built my own jtag cable!
Things U need.
5 100Ohm resistors 5%
1 3 inch long wire for the ground (could be anything)
1 IDC 20 pin Dual Row Socket
1 DB25 Female tin shell
1 DB 25 pin male to male cable
soder and a sodering tool
and a lot patience!
took me about a hour to weld everything together
about $5-8 dollars for everyhing
my invention looks messy, but it works (look at the picutes). Im not an expert welder as you can see. after I conected it to the parallel port on my PC I opened the wall.exe file and clicked "refresh items" (I dont what it was for). Then I opened jkeys.exe clicked detect and it was there, just followed directions on "On how to jtag pansat.doc" who ever wrote it my hat off to you
my 2 pictueres of my jtag connection (front and back) and the zip file I used to Jtag is in the attachment. Good luck everyone with a dead pansat

Hello, I have a Megasat YT6688. It has power on the cord, but no light goes on. Does anyone out there know what could be wrong with it, or what I can do to get it turned on, and get it going? Please help...Theo.
