Re: why does receiver reset?
I should've said I first did hardboot as I saw it reset...then I reloaded the newest bin. Actually, it's happened 3-4 times within the past week...seemingly during big sporting events...picture did return after approx. 1.5 hrs (again). Thanks for your assistance, I appreciate your service.

Re: why does receiver reset?
Make sure autorll is still turned on. Them press 8282 on the remote and scroll down to "Set default key" and press enter. Then wait, I have read of it taking just over an hour for one guy...or if you want put the keys manually,is your decision....Hope that can help to fix your problem. Good Luck.

Re: why does receiver reset?
If you use the file that specificly says that it contains "embedded keys" you will NOT have to wait.
If you loaded that file of which I speak, and you don't have instant tv, then your settings are incorrect, or your stb is defective.
Good luck.

Re: why does receiver reset?
I usually do the 8282 autoroll...then set default...after loading (and reloading) a bin. Can someone tell me about the comments above regarding a "cleaner"? I never thought it may have been loaded/reloaded excessively but apparently someone says it's possible...if so, how could I "clean" my receiver and do you recommend it? Wow, thanks again, it's nice to learn.

Re: why does receiver reset?
A cleaner for your receiver is news to me. It might just be loading the factory file.

Re: why does receiver reset?
A couple of days ago I read about "cleaning" a receiver. It was posted by AssWhole in the thread 2700s won't come in.

I have used a "cleaner" in the CS8100, but have never heard of a cleaner for the PS 2700. To check this out, rather than read a post,,, look for any stickies containing a "cleaner" file in the 2700 section. If you don't find one, they are either mistaken in that post, or used a different box to reference this box.
Just try a factory reset and begin again.
