how to revive a dead pansat(bad software killed it)

i've tried numerous thing and cant get the box to start up, the problem is that it has power in it but not coming up. i was told that a bad software killed the box.
i ave the old loader and old bin but it cant be loaded because the box won't boot up or show any light.
none of the capacitor are blown(i checked)
so what should i do.

sounds like you might have to jtag it look in the pan section the is info there

i ave that kit, (jtag) but it seems to not work. dont know y.

have not had to do that for a long time but i do know that i had to keep clicking on the (what was it) start or read something like that till it got the info it needed took about 30 min till it cought to the point i could reload info needed to bring back to life. just be careful and ground receiver before you start dont want to short out a cap,chip,diode or whatever anyway good luck read the file on how to jtag let us know how it goes

The (JTAG) will work, it will just take patients and some time but, it will work. Just go to the section and read and download all the needed tools to get back going. This is is a wealth of information when in need of help.

Jtag should likely bring it back but it can take alot of work and a great deal of patience.

i connected the serial cable from the receiver to my computer and it cant find the reciever. tried this for like 10 min.s,
do i need to do a key press or something or the front panel to get it find the box.

hey, you are not listening.what you are trying to do with your serial cable is simple programing.you have to J-TAG
so do a search on j-tagging ,the searchbutton is your friend

I have 2 pansat 2700a. down since June. Can someone please tell me the best FTA to buy. I had no trouble with the pansats, Using them for 5 years. I need something now and later when Pansat comes out I will get another one. I am a slow learner I need something easy to use and load. So what kind of FTA should I get and the best place to buy from. Richie
