how to load your 2700 bins

c&P-little alerted from original to fit this site.

1). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.

2). Connect the RS232C null modem cable to the receiver and Com1 port of your computer. (Use Com2 if not Com1 is not available). Note: 2500 used a straight serial cable for downloads, THIS SERIAL CABLE WILL NOT WORK!!!. You must use a Null Modem serial cable, or a straight serial cable with a "null" adapter.

3). Plug in the receiver, Turn your 2700 "ON" via the rear switch, and see that the “On” is indicated on the LED on the receiver.
4). Run the latest loader from the files section.
5. Click the App File only button, browser and select the “latest update” file, example
X-87BL_051213_140_au_api then click the Open button.
(download and extract the latest file for 2700 in the download section)


6. Double check and make sure the cable is securely connected.
7. Click the Download button, wait until the “Download Completed!!” is displayed. Watch the LED on the receiver, it should reboot itself, wait until the “On” display.
8). Wait for unit to finish flash, DO NOT INTERRUPT!
9). When receiver reboots and displays “On” wait a few more secs until you see the "Download Complete" message on your pc. Many people unplug too soon!
You are now done with the software update.
10)scan your birds.and set default keys.(if you need help on how to scan,ask here,state what dish/lnb(s) switch etc.that you have.)

always check the pansat 2700 download section for latest loaders

note the date's before downloading.always use the latest.(unless otherwise instructed)

Setting Up The Receiver After The New BIN File Has Been Loaded

1. Go into USER SETUP to set the Time Zone, Date and Curent Time. Use 24 hour time format. It will automaticlly convert to AM/PM. Exit out of User Setup.

2. Go into INSTALLATION.

3. Select ANTENNA SETUP.

4. Check your settings to make sure they have not changed. EXIT out of Antenna Setup going back to the MAIN MENU page.

5. Select Parental Control.

6. Select SECOND pin and enter 0000 if you haven't changed it from the original password.

7. Scroll down and set the Default Key. Exit all the way out.

8. The keys will probably autoroll. When finished, you should have audio and video.
