i haven't used this since i got the cw premium over a year ago.i check it out once in awhile.
but ugg,the old 81mhz and tiny ram and no features doesn't do it for me.
all the 2700/2800/3500 ever where was just a 2500 with a bit more ram and better outputs.thats it.
thank god they finally upgraded new hardware.
aka the 250sm and 9200
they are MUCH better, but you know how pansat is with bugs.
the VIRGO SE chip they are running is great,as used in the new coolsats and cnx receivers.
but the pansats need allot more work,i don't know, they just are not used to modern hardware or what, the 250sm is not doing too hot.i wouldn't buy one as is right now.
the 9200 is simply incredible!!!!! as far as pic quality.even on the standard channels, simply above and beyond a standard receiver.
that is when its not going scrambled pic on you,and or splitting the screen into 3 sections with a large wide green bar in between each.
the new menu's are nice and straight forward.
i hope so much they get these working to what they should be.
no pvr like advertised for the 9200 yet.
time will tell.
i use my other receivers features to find whats on.then use the 9200 to watch it.
if i want to use my pc as my pvr,i have to be right there to do any channel rocking to get pic to stabilize again, then sometimes it will work fine for a couple hours straight.
they have much work to do.and sloooooooow progress on the 250sm since released.
my $100 cw premium sad to say mops the floor with the 250.not even comparable yet.
GREATLY built units, you can tell that.so if they do get the coding they deserve they could be top of the line.
time will tell.
but many other units running so much smoother and for much less money.
seems all they have is an old name going for them.
still have the old 2700/2800 but for no purpose anymore really.
when i actually want to watch some tv,its always something else hooked up at this point.
