Re: HELP

Dear Jose 2001 Hi
I cannot do it. I try to do it exactly like the way I do it to
my VS Ultra through my USB stick. First I download bin from the sight to
my computer in my document section and from there to my USB and from there
to my stb. This time I download the loader and the bin to my computer
document section, stick my null RS232 cable to my USB slot and the other
end to my stb and try to extract the file but nothing happen, it did not show
App File only button or browser and select the "latest update" file.
And I request in the begining that I do not have USB slot in my Pantex it has
an old way to download the file that I never did before .
So please HELP me out so I can use this other box at the same time.

Thanks a lot.

Re: HELP

1). Turn your 2700 "OFF" via rear switch.

2). Connect the RS232C null modem cable to the receiver and Com1 port of your computer. (Use Com2 if not Com1 is not available). Note: 2500 used a straight serial cable for downloads, THIS SERIAL CABLE WILL NOT WORK!!!. You must use a Null Modem serial cable, or a straight serial cable with a "null" adapter.

3). Plug in the receiver, Turn your 2700 "ON" via the rear switch, and see that the “On” is indicated on the LED on the receiver.
4). Run the latest loader from the files section.
5. Click the App File only button, browser and select the “latest update” file, example
X-87BL_051213_140_au_api then click the Open button.
(download and extract the latest file for 2700 in the download section)

6. Double check and make sure the cable is securely connected.
7. Click the Download button, wait until the “Download Completed!!” is displayed. Watch the LED on the receiver, it should reboot itself, wait until the “On” display.
8). Wait for Unit to finish flash , DO NOT INTERRUPT!
9). When receiver reboots and displays “On” wait a few more secs until you see the "Download Complete" message on your pc. Many people unplug too soon!
You are now done with the software update.
10)scan your birds.and set default keys.(if you need help on how to scan, ask here, state what dish/lnb(s) switch etc.that you have.)

always check the pansat 2700 download section for latest loaders

note the date's before downloading.always use the latest.(unless otherwise instructed)

Re: HELP

Dear Members and Mods,
I am trying to download loader and the bin in my Pansat
2700A but I do not know the old way through null
cable I never learn this technic, I do have Null RS232,and I am using it.
The USB is in its slot at the front of my computer and the other side is in
back of my stb. I had already download the Loader file and the bin file in
my document section of my computer, when I try to download it to my stb.
I cant do it. When I write down the file name in the bin field ( In configuration
window). and hit on download it says File unknown did not found.
How can I find COM Port 1,2 or 3 on my computer, I was using USB port in
front of my computer (It is known as "M" to my computer). I always use this
for my USB flash drive for downloading bin file for my other stb.
Please HELP me out of this, in a easy way, because I never did this way
before.
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE.

Re: HELP

maximas you need and usb to serial adapter, with the adapter you won't have any problem. The adapter comes with a software , when you connect the adapter and run software it will appear a new com port. The cable you are using i think won't work for you. You can find them at rat shak or any other store.
