Dead Panny - ABA DSS

My panny's dead too. No display, no channels, did two Jtags still no display have not tried channels yet. any Ideas?

I replaced two dead caps C11 and C14, C13 was still good but i replaced it to keep them matched, however I now that i got the display up nothing else happens when I try to go to the menu the receiver does not respond. It just shows b-80 no response from buttons or remote. I used a 25V C11, was that a bad Idea?

Did you use the loader & Null modem cable to load the factory file after jtaging? With only b-80 showing sounds like you did not.

I loaded the factory bin and the loader via 232 null cable still only shows b-80

Try again...should go to "ON" when file is loaded. It's been a while since I've jtaged, but if memory serves me, after jtaging, without the factory file loaded you see "b-80", after loading the factory you see "ON". At that point you should be able to hook it up and set up birds, use the sd card, etc..

I started from the beginning and went all the way thru and loaded b80 via loader then I got the ON msg. now i need to re set my dish, no channels are being found. has n3 been resolved?

You should still be able to scan them...just not decode them.
