Is Echo 8.6 the same as Echo 8.1??

I just j-tagged my 3500sd, and now I am installing the satellites again. on the Antenna setup list, I can not find Echo 8.1/ku, only Echo 8.6/ku is the closest one to that. Both have the EXACT SAME settings when I go to them, Same freq. same everything. What am I doing wrong?

They are the same. Just continue like you are doing and you should be ok

But when I added the channels with the blind scan, they both scanned the same channels. Also, when I press the SAT button to change to echostar package, the box freezes up and I have to turn it off with the switch in the back. I know that the dish is aligned on both satellites because I have another pansat 250sm box that works just fine on both satellites.

Don't use the blind scan, use the all scan. Best thing to do now is delete sats if you can and rescan.. If not, do factory reset then rescan . Be sure to write your settings down before you delete them

there are 2 birds at 110 degrees west orbital slot that dn uses.
echo 8 and echo 10.they are so close that one lnb hits both birds.
echo 6 was there with echo 8 back along,thats why you see echo 8.6 in the sat list.
echo 6 was replaced by echo 10.so now your sat list should be named echo 8.10
but it still works of course for 110.

echo 7 is the other bird at 119 west,that requires another lnb.or the second eye of your twin lnb.

so in short.
sat scan echo 8.6 and echo 7
