Ok take it easy lets recheck all you have done so far.
First can you post what configuration you use to make your jtag cable?? Did you put the 5 100 ohm resistors???

first of all thanks for replying.
ok, yes i put the resistors.
the first cable i used i bought so it was ready to go. nothing the programs didnt work at first cause i didnt program it run run with windows 98. so i did another cable after figuring that out. i got skymax to work and i got to do the erase but when i went to "write" i didnt know i had to switch to "all files" to get the file to put, so i closed the program. i figured that part out but now, again , i cant connect to the unit. this is what comes out:
Init JTAG
IDCODE : FFFFFFFF
Fail DCU, Plesae Restart or Reset CPU Box

Re: I Give Up
Ok if you have the dcu error that sometimes happens due to a ground issue in the jtag cable. If you will like to try , take a wire , you can use one of the receiver chassis screws , and ground the receiver , be advice do not use the positive or negative of any outlet must be a real ground. after that try the wall and jkeys program.
