Pansat 3500 help, please
I bought quite a while ago( about 12 to 15 month ago) a 3500, installed the b-80... downloaded the soft, installed the keys, scanned the satellites and got nothing, just channels that showed 1 second and gone the next... my keys kept on changing on their own..and didn' t find much help. It went like that for 2 or 3 months, and I finally gave up..... Now, I found this place and i'm going to try again. Does anybody know what I should try, have things or software changed. I don't expect to be spoonfed, just pointed in the right direction. I really appreciate any help, even if you think it's a silly pointer or a basic instruction, I'll more than likely won't know it.
Thank You

Re: Pansat 3500 help, please
Thanks for the fast response. Ok...let's see...
I load the latest software..... got it
Factory default...... how do I do that?
now...a subjective question: In YOUR opinion, which brand and model would be your own choice for a box (maybe 1 suggestion for HD and 1 for regular)
Thanks a lot

Go to your menu and select factory reset. This will blank out the unit. You then need to start fresh with all your dish settings and re-scan all your sats.
What type of dish and lnb's are you using? What sats are you trying to get?
As far as standard recievers, I really suggest the captive works 800. Very inexpensive,($139) and has dvr ability. Excellent support also. It loads with usb stick. I have not had to reset or rescan this box since I installed it 4 months ago. Just load new bin and watch tv! I am not sure which HD boxes to suggest.

Re: Pansat 3500 help, please
I have the Dish 500, I have 2 dishes, 1 with 2 LNBs pointing to 110 and 119 and the other, with 1 LNB, pointing to 61.5. There's 2 cables out of each dish. There's 2 SW21 switches, with 1 cable from each dish going to 1 input of each SW21. That gives me signal in 2 different rooms, which I'm also trying to expand to more rooms
Thanks a lot for the help, guys
