CW700 signal problems, hey Arboristman
OK. Let me start by saying I like the CW700 pretty good. However, I also have a CW600P. If I use the CW600P and go to channel 105 on sat 119 TP12239 H, I have plenty of signal and channelshows fine.
When I hook up the CW700 there is very little to no signal and no or freezing picture. It is like this on about half the tp's on 119 only. 110 is fine, 129 is fine, and 91 nimiq is fine as well. I have had my system up an running fine for a while.
Something is not right in the CW700 or the bin......
Any answers ?????

thats odd.did you try doing a factory default?
and have you seen what old bins or factory bins give you for quality?

sounds like your using a switch, curious, is the switch closer to the antenna or the stb.

welcome to abadss.
we can will be than happy to help you out.but this section is devoted for the captiveworks.and this thread is for the topic of cw getting low quality.
what you need to do is go to the viewsat section.find your receiver make/model and ask there.or if you would rather, you can ask about that dish in the dish/lnb section.
if you need help finding these sections you can click on the link below "learn how to use abadss"
this will help you find your way around.
welcome to the site.someone will be right with you soon once you start a new thread.good luck.

Re: CW700 signal problems, hey Arboristman
I have tried a factory default and a reboot. I have not tried any old bins yet. I am using a DP44 powered switch and it is closer to the dish, but like I said, I have and had 4 CW600P's on line in and all 4 worked fine on all sats and tp's. I even used the same line in and switched boxes. I bought a case of 6 of these and plan on using 4 for myself. Let me know if you come up with anymore ideas. I have the same settings on the CW700 as the ones on CW600P.

I'll try it and let you know. I thought it was odd myself. There is no such thing as clones for these yet is there ? They seem to be legit CW products.

Re: CW700 signal problems, hey Arboristman
Hey hotrod1983 I had the same problem. It took me forever to solve this problem. Hopefully this will help. Turn your reciever to the channel you have low signal. At the bottom of your remote press the >> or << buttons and adjust signal strength untill the strength bar reaches its peak. You can adjust it back and forth using those buttons. When you first push the >> or<< buttons a signal sterngth box will appear on your tv screen. Let us(The community) know if it works. Good Luck.

Re: CW700 signal problems, hey Arboristman
I tried that, It did make the strength go up to 50 or so, but the picture was still glitching. Nice to know.
I took a new in the box CW700 with the factory bin on it, hooked it up and went to sat 119, TP 12239, and there is 0 strength and 75 quality. Also, the first TP to have any strength is 12370, and it is 92 strength. If I hook a CW600P up to the same line on 119 TP 12239 and it has 90 strength and 89 quality.
All 6 of these CW 700's are the same. Am I the only one with this problem ?
Why would the CW600P's work fine ?
Arb, I tried the factory bin, 145, 146, 147, 150, and none of them work.

Re: CW700 signal problems, hey Arboristman
Update, I tried old bins, no luck. However, If I go to ch.301, nothing, 302, nothing, 303 comes in, go back to 302 and it comes in, back to 301 and it comes in. It is deffinitly something to do with the box controlling the switches. Hopefully a glitch that will be fixed. All channels on b3v work fine. It is just 119 and 110 and only some of the tp's.
Like I said, the CW700 works perfect on a d1sh 500. Just not on a dp44 switch.
