About 6 months ago, I had the above receiver (CW-600S) setup for me by a friend. It stayed up for about 2 days then I unplug it from the wall and put the receiver in the closet.
Recently, I tried to setup the receiver again but I cannot get any channels, Tv or Radio.
I did a factory reset, then did a blind scan, Auto, Transponder...etc and still I cannot pick up any channels.
My friend is awol, so I need some help setting up the receiver again. I am only truely interested in one satellite and that is Ku_Telstar 5, but with the scans on all the satellite I still get "No Channels."
Some of the channels shows a high sigal % and quality % - above 70% - but no channels are listed.
Any suggestions?

Nag 3 encrytion code is now in effect. No Stand alone bins are working...

Thanks, but I do not know what that means.
What can I do to get free channels only, if that is possible?

telstar_5, Galaxy19 or intelsat_5 are the names for that satellite, so look for it in your sat list and scan (if you have the right dish for it).
some channels are FTA and some are in N3 (the new and unhacked encription)

You may want to consider an IKS compatible unit ... like the nFusion Phoenix, the SV Elite or Premiere or te K-Box.

Let's see - After perfectly tuning in T5/L5, I took the Ku Band cable and attached it to the CW-600s and did a scan. I got a lot of very good signals (Strength and Quality) but still no channels, of any kind, got listed.
At no time during a scan does it say "Found 30 Ku_Telstar 5" or any such thing.
So please kindly tell me, is this encrytion code thing affecting all channels? and if the not, can anyone think of a reason I am not seeing any channels list in my CW-600s?

mine has been down for a couple months due to n3 yes mine is a captiveworks 600s . no channels tell the coders come up with fix
