Need help with sat setup - ABA DSS

I went to antenna setup and searched both Echo 7 and Echo 6,8. The problem that I am having is below all that it says:
Found:22.EchoStar 6,8 (110). But it doesn't say anything about Echo 7. The reason I am asking is because I can't get any sports channels. Although I do have ESPN Deportes. But not regular ESPN. All I get are alot of PPV and a lot of W???, W???, K???, etc. These are local news stations for cities around the US. How do I get few of these and more of the regualr sat. programs?

I have the exact same problem!
The K*** and W*** are locals.
I would like to hear the outcome of this, as I have the exact same problem, and channel lists dont work.
What reciever are you using?

I am using CW 600s. I had the same problem with my Fortec too. I guess it has to do with how the dish is pointing but I want to know for sure before I go and start messing with that. So you arn't getting ESPN, MTV, Comedy Central, TNT, FX, etc. either?

I put those on a channel list, but when I go to them, it says
"Scramble Channel"
How the dish is pointing?
I am getting excellent signal and quality,
I would like to hear how to fix this problem though.

My dad has been talking to people and found out that it could be the dish that I am using. I have a DirecTV Multiswitch dish. He said it is very bad at picking up FTA channels. I am going to get a dish 500 and see if things change.

Hi, I am new to FTA, just brought a CW600S prenium, the previuos house owner have installed DirecTV Multiswitch dish on the roof (KTI 18x20 dish).
When I hook up everything and did a blind search on echostar, I got no channel at all.
It sounds you also have DirecTV Multiswitch dish with CW600S.How did you get channels ?
What do you set up in installation menu/antenna setting?

You need to move the dish to the 110 or 119 satellite.

well guys I just when thru the same thing.. it will work ,just takes some tweeking.. if you a using an 18 x 24 dtv dish don't use the switch that you used with DTV use the 4 x 1 diseq switch that came with your fta reciever..
In what area of the country are you in? Zip Code would help..

lived in sanfrancisco bay area, 94404.
I never able to get it work with the DTV, can not get any channel with or without the Diseq switch
I have returned the FTA reciever and quit

thats becuse, fta receivers dont work on dtv sats.
the dtv dish will work,but you would have needed to aim it at dish net.
