reciever does work on dvr line

hi,

I tried to hook someone up with out any luck.All lines give no signal,nada ,nothing.So I figured test one(cw600s),on his line running to his
dvr that he's paying for......but nothing.

Any ides on what I'm doin wrong.I retested box(cw) and working with quad dp lnb watching dn.

He has a quad lnb,bin 134,pointing to 110,119.....

very confused,figured it should work on the line running to his dvr,but no workie...

Any suggestions or ideas?

Hey daledale,
I had the same problem when I was setting up my box. I had two receivers from D*V. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. If your friend had the same setup or even more tv's set up, you need to go to the splitter that was setup by the installer and disconnect the two wire from the splitter and get a connector and connect the two together. I left the remaining wires connected and will remove splitter when I replace my dish Again this worked for me because of the way I had the installation in the first place. Hope this helps. Thank you for the reply.He had abunch of stuff set up,cable and the dish.The dish is a quad and there is not any splitters.basically a line running to his dvr and the other lines.

Do you know why the dvr line wouldn't work for the cw.I have a sub but no dvr and it uses same line for both,there and mine(cw).

I have had less trouble starting from new than trying to get what he has working........really confused???
