Trying to set up CW 600S box, need help - ABA DSS

OK, so I decided to dust off my old CW 600S box for the kids room. I finally got my hands on the null cable but am having issues doing a factory install to start fresh. I am unable to use the V1.04_plusUSB loader program to upload the factory bin, just won't work. I can use the 1.05 (and did) but that is not what the instructions say and I am only able to get 107 channels. Missing many of the good channels. Any advise on what I may be doing wrong? Do I really need to use the 1.04 loader? Thanks in advance.

i had one it did the samething with the loader never could use 1.04 loader,,,,,,,, did you put a new bins on it yet?

yea, I loaded the factory bin first, then that 2.05 bin then the new bin. I can only get a few channels.

tell me your setting and dish and lnbs??? maybe something there

Well, I have a regular dish, just for 119. The LNB, am not sure, I set the box to scan with the basic settings. 11250, LNB1, 22hz off, switch none (I hope I got these right, am not next to box as I write this). The strange thing is that I have a CNX box as well and that one works just fine. All the channels, no issues.

Well, I am only using sat 119 so I don't need a switch. The LNB has 2 connections, one for each box.

How to Enable Patch or Disable Patch

Use the receiver’s Remote control.

Exit all menu, Press the F1 key, the LED will display 'H', then press '000'

that is your problem .direct tv lnbs are not good to try for dish network.

OK, I found a LNB that has 2 LNBs for a dish 500 and it says DP on it, is that good? I have 119 working on it right now.

OK, I think i got it, It, so far, have over 200 channels scanned and still going. Thanks for the advise.

LOL, now the channels are scrambled. Can someone still tell me about the main question on this thread? Do I really need to use the 1.04 loader to make it work?
