Help with a dead cw600s
This is my 1st post .I just joined yesterday and so far I really like this site. I was watching my CW600S one day and the screen went green. After that nothing works and it has a : on the display and will not go into boot mode. This was about a year ago I still have the box because I thought there would be a fix one day. I have readed that you clone it from a good cw600s if you have one which I do not. Is there any other way to fix this box? Jtag information or something!

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
Try this Buddy. Turn rear switch off. hold the front power button while you turn the rear switch on. It will read Boot, let go of front button now, load your bin...

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
No go! It will not go in to boot mode no mater what I do. Is there anyway to force a bin upload without being in boot mode.

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
Here is the force load procedure...
Turn unit off with back switch, open your loader, find the factory file, hold the download button down with your mouse, turn unit on, at the first sign of lights, release the mouse, the bin should start loading. If it doesn't, try again, timing is very critical in doing this. After you get the factory file to load, do a factory reset (factory default). Now load the latest bin, enter sat settings, scan sats again, one at a time...

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
Use the selection that Arb is offering <above>.
That was the one that I was also going to suggest, it works well so we are lead to believe

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
She dead guys I tried everything but would like to thank you all. I am a member of many other sites and the speed at which you guys posted on this problem and the number for people that help is by far the best. When I get the money I plan to upgrade my membership. If anyone wants this box just pay me shipping. You should be able to clone from another cw600s. Thanks guys!!!!

Re: Help with a dead cw600s
I got a email from this guy saying that he had fix these boxes before and for me to call him and he would walk me though some steps that may fix it. I called him but we could not get it fixed. He told me to send it to him and he would fix it for me. He told me this is what he does for a living. I guess he works for CW. I said I would never buy another CW BUT IF THIS IS ON THE UP AND UP I WILL BUY FROM AGAIN.

Try this first
this worked for me and apparently has worked for others.
turn on your receiver from back then front
on your remote press the following sequence
menu
ok
up arrow
ok
ok
right arrow
ok
this is the sequence to do a factory default it worked perfect for me and may work well for you.
if by chance your remote doesn't work (such as mine) do this
turn on from back then front
on the face of the receiver press the following sequence
menu
ok
channel+
ok
ok
volume +
ok
like i said this helped me may help you. not my own work found on another site. best of luck to you all.
