menu>installation

antenna setting

auto 22khz and auto diseqc along with other normal settings.
reads the sat your pointed too,with audio tone of quality strength

red key=auto scan(sat scan)
green key=network scan
yellow key=blind scan
blue key=transponder scan

manual search


edit satellite

add/delete/rename/move/hide
(this is where you can move your used sats to the top so they are easy to find in installation for scanning)

edit transponder

satellite/add/edit/delete

factory default

all/channel list only/radio only/scramble channel only/delete satellite channels
(option to save current data to stb when you select all.this saves user settings and channel list to the receiver that remain
even after a factory default so you can load it back latter)

menu>easy tuning

select 4 satellites for multi scanning here.
using up down buttons on remote to set all 4 at once.
then down to select fast/auto tuning to begin multi scan.

menu>channel manager

tv channels

plays channels in small window while your edit your channel list.
play/lock-unlock/delete-undelete/move/rename/exchange/skip

tv favorites

plays channels in small window while your edit your channel list.
green key=rename favorites.(also to see which of the 8 are renamed too)
1-8 favorites list available.selectable using left/right on your remote.

sort channels

sort by options are:

fta
satellite
transponder
favorites-all fav/first 4 favorites(see my "favorites how to guide" for more info)

info bar

press info button once to view:

channel number and name.
event now playing with event time meter in orange.
event on next.
quality in yellow.
strength in green.
time.
channel icon in upper right corner(must have show channel icons displayed option set to yes.)
long channel name.(must have long channel names option displayed set to yes)


press info button twice to view:

date
time
day
event information description.
resolution
aspect ratio
audio mode
audio frequency
audio bit rate
channel icon(must have show channel icons displayed option set to yes.)

press info button 3 times to view:

channel name
satellite name
lnb freq
switch type
tp info
video PID
PCR PID
quality
strength



epg features.

set receiver to a channel the eepg(extended electronic program guide)is on for 15 mins dn and 3 mins for bev
to view 7 days epg for dn and 2 days epg for bev

press info while in epg to view full event info.

old style with long channel names on.
6 selectable channels displayed at once with long channel names.

new style with channel icons on.
5 selectable channels displayed at once with channel icons.

set event timer in the epg.

scroll over to event.
press the blue key to see pop up window for event settings:

once set.press ok to set timer.event will now be highlighted in blue.channel will change to event once it begins.



other channel search options

when channel list option>CH 10 is selected press ok button while on a channel to view these options:
10 channels.

when channel list option>CH 24 is selected press ok button while on a channel to view these options:

find event

use this feature with epg fully loaded is recommended.
press the find button to enter the find event menu pop up screen.
press ok.

search for your favorite event such as NFL/football/soccer/favorite movie,etc,etc.then press red key to begin.
when search is complete you now have these options:
up/down to view channels.
press ok to jump to channel.
start time information.
press info button to view event description.

pip

select the pip button while viewing a channel to enter pip mode.

f1 key+000 = enable patch.do again to disable patch.
f1 key+111=ECM$EMM enable
f1 key+222=EMM enable
f1 key+333=ECM enable
f1 key+444=disable debug
f1 key+555=card sharing ECM enable
f1 key+666=card sharing EMM enable
(do not do any of these unless instructed,could result in need of factory default to restore)

channel recall features

channel recall button works as normal with recall history turned off.
when turned on,view some channels then when you press the recall button a pop up menu will be displayed with a max of
16 stored channels last visited.select the channel you want then press ok.

edit the active key shortcut

while on a channel press page down to edit the active key for the providers
channel your on.

echostar and bev packages

press the sat button then select either either echostar package or bev package to view channels in their providers order.

adjust picture levels

while viewing a channel.press the 0 (zero) key to enter adjust picture mode
brightness
contrast
saturation
hue
sharpness
default

radio mode

press the tv/radio button to toggle between radio/tv modes
the info banner stays up in radio mode.
along with a pop up info box with:
title
artist
cd
label
(this is where you primarily enjoy your custom background picture/user logo)
