Renaming channels not working
I today was going to rename my channels for example I wanted to rename NICKG into Nick GaS so I went to Menu ---> Channel Manager ---> TV Channels and scrolled down to NICKG and Started to rename it, but then after I call it Nick GaS I see only Nick as the channel name, so I tried again and I still only see the first part "Nick"
So I tried another channel like NICKT so I renamed it Nicktoons Net. and I pressd ok and the channel name I see is now called Nickt not the full name, so I tried again and the same thing
How do I fix this problem?

Re: Renaming channels not working
you can only rename the channels if you have the FullName option OFF:
menu>system setting>system
menu language
audio1
audio2
Closed caption>on/off
channel NO.>normal>SID (sort by options)
tv screen format>auto>4:3>16:9>4:3 letter box>4:3 pan & scan
recall history>on/off
auto TP>on/off
key update messages>on/off
bell&dishnet full name>on/off
If you don't turn it off it will go back to the default name supplied by the Bev&DNFullName bin.
The other option is to Download your channels list and modify it on your PC using Channel Master.

Re: Renaming channels not working
also, load up the long channel name bins and turn them on.and you wont have to rename them.
press ok while on channel or see them in info bar.OR turn epg style-old and you will see them in the epg too.BUT you will loose your icons in epg mode.
so play around and adjust to how you like it.

Re: Renaming channels not working
It's true those 2 bins do all the renaming work for you, those even list the city in the local channels. very nice option in the CW600p. I don't think you'll need to do any modifying after you load these files.
I just assumed you already have them and you are not happy with them.
Give them a try, they take seconds to load, unlike the fixes.

By that meaning it will rename all the channels for any sat, because I got 61.5, 91, 97, and 110 But as long as it renames 61.5, 91, and 110 I am happy because 97 is mostly already all renamed for me so does the bin work for 61.5, 91, and 110? please say yes

There are two files in there. One is for DN and the other for BEV.
So yes it will rename all the DN and BEV birds if you load both.

Ofcourse since the first day, one of my favorite options in the CW600p.
Who wants to look at the those short channel names.
They are working great on 82/91/110/119.
I don't see why they would not work on the other DN birds. Like 61.5
Give them a try and let us know how you like it.
