you need to configure your city, or the city that's closes to you in this list:
menu>accessories>configure city
1-49 states selectable.
then select city.

Most of the receivers are US base ,,, so might not Ottawa !! but you can check !

Nope it's all US cities and states, but select the closest US city to Ottawa that's on the list and in the same timezone if possible.
