169 With BEV?
I just loaded the new 169 fix, and I waited for autoroll on BEV and it came then I waitied for DN and it came, then I stwiched back to BEV and I am seeing "Scrambled Channel"
Does everyone have this problem with the new 169 bin or is it just a key change? CW 600p owners please tell me if you got BEV with the 169 bin

Re: 169 With BEV?
I'm totally new to this. The guy that was sending me the bin files for my satellite hasn't been much help lately. I decided to get the bins myself. I tried the 1.69 bin this afternoon and it worked...then it quit working after about 3 minutes. I then reloaded the 1.68 bin and I can't get any of the premium channels. Just the local ones. I don't understand the DN and BEV things that are being discussed. If anyone can help me that'd be GREAT!

Welcome to Abadss.
The 169, is the latest bin, and you always want to have the latest bin on your STB. There is no reason to go back to older bin unless you are told to, but you'll know this for sure because everyone will be reporting on this site that older bins are working and the latest bin has stopped.
So for now just load the latest bin, 169, and if you get a scrambled channel once in a while it's because the keys have changed, and if you wait about 15min the picture will come back. Also try doing a hard reboot and then wait 15min, and see if the picture comes back.
Make sure that Autoroll option is turned on before you wait the 15min.
MENU, SYSTEM SETTING, OSD, OK

EPG Style----------------------Old
Hor Offset---------------------+00

Good Luck

Re: 169 With BEV?
How do you do a hard reboot, I patched 169 and nothing all chans are "Scrambled Channel" display. I am feeling sorry I actually paid $90 for this box. ViewSat rocks, so much simpler w/ the patches.

Re: 169 With BEV?
Hard Reboot - Turn the STB off and back on using the back switch.
As chuchu99 suggested.
Enable the patch.
On remote click the F1 key then the number key 0 three times. If you get a message PATCH DISABLE then do it again to get PATCH ENABLE

leave it on a scrambled channel. Make sure autoroll is ON, and wait up to 20min. Channels should come in. The autoroll is responding a little slow other then that it's working.
