Do I already have B3V?
I usually run dn today I went into my antenna settings and was looking at the different sat's when I got to the nimiq 1 is says my quality is at 99%. My question is could I get B3V and how hard would it be? and would I lose my dn in the process. I prefer dn but for times like this when it's down it's nice to have back up also

What you are getting is a 'ghost' signal from your aimed sat (110/119)
The only real way to get 91 is to aim your dish to it. One way to tell if you are getting signal from B*V is going into your antenna settings and select the Nimiq1 sat. If that same sat appears on the corner of your screen as well as on your sat list, then you are in tune. Otherwise its just a 'ghost'

thats a false signal! if your only pointed at dn you will not have bev just by adjusting your settings. your gonna have to either move your dish or add another one. Of course you can just add the elliptical dish with 5 lnb yoke and get 119/110/91/82

are the channels that you are getting same as the once you already have. Any BEV channels. Many of their channel names start with Vu..
You need to have an LNB aimed at Bev in order to get it. Right now you are getting a signal feedback strength from 110/119.

Re: Do I already have B3V?
Best thing to do is to add another dish and aim it at Bev. That way you have both DN and Bev.

how funny and he doesn't think that DN is illegal. You don't need anohter reciever you can hook both BEV and DN to one receiver.

Re: Do I already have B3V?
Apoc is right. You are probably very close where you are because you would not get the ghost signals if you had a very weak signal

2 dishes one receiver and a 4x1 disqec switch to hook them up. 1 lnb, one dish for bev, and 2 lnb's, one dish for DN 110 and 119. Hook all three LNB's to switch, then one cable from switch to receiver. It's quite easy, the hardest part is putting the extra dish on the roof. Good luck, happy viewing.
