Bev Nimiq 82/91

Is it just me or is it hard to get a good strong signal for Bev in Los Angeles.. I do have a Huge tree in the backyard.. I only catch a signal for 82 and have that setup and it's running.. but **** most of the channels are on 91 according to the list.. I have 3 dishes up.. 1 to 148/ 1 for 119/110/ and 1 for 82.. I was hoping someone could tell me the elevation angle for the setup if they know it.. and I think it's still SE direction... Thanks guys

Nimiq1.2 (91W) is only 9 degrees to the left (looking from behind the dish) of 82W.
Might be time to break out the chainsaw?

yes it is hard to get a strong signal for bev in LA .you can use a bigger dish but at least the ppv porn of the venus network 750-760 have gotten a boost and do have a stronger signal.and as listed below here is a link that will let you pick any and all lnbs on one dish and it will calculate your azimuth , elevation , and skew for you great site and very cool satellite imaging.
here is a link to a cool webpage that will let you put all your sats you are trying to hit and give you the SKEW , Elevation , and azimuth.

mecy , if you have a question that does not pertain to the thread it is better to start a new thread. you would go to forum scroll down till you see sonic view and read to see if there is a answer to your question.asking a question in someone else's thread is called hijacking it is considered impolite but it makes it hard for the people who want to help you find your question as it is posted in the wrong spot.now for the good news yes this is the right file sv291 for sonic view1000 , however it is a fix for bev only sat 91 , 82 . a fix for dn should be out shortly.I found this out by going to sonic view 1000 and reading , things will be very easy to find you just need to look around a bit.

Thanks restorerancient,but not looking for porn channels... I just want the NBA package, and ESPN.. Aslong as I have those channels I could careless about the other ones.. Now the locals don't have any new shows cuz of the writer strike so figure just get NBA package with the 91 cuz I already have the 82 setup.. thanks for the help everyone

maybe try this , sounds like you have access to a dave style lnb on hand , pull the mounting screw from one of the 110 , 119 etc and zip tie to the left standing behind it with a 1/2 inch spacer wood works or whatever you have on hand and about 3/4 inches low.make a poor man and see what you get if you are getting 82 signal decent you should be able to get the 91.i will include a link for the setup just substitute the 110 for 82 and the 119 for 91.i will also include a link to get the elevation , skew , and azimuth if you have a 500 style setup.

No you cannot. You will have to move your dish. The settings in the receiver are the same.
