no picture
i washaving trouble receiving channels. i found out the dish had moved, i repositioned it, and now i have satt signal of 85% ,but still saying scrambled.
i did everything i know how to do, i am not new to this, but i just can't figure out what is going on. i too my 600p over to a friend's and connected it , it worked there. does anyone know what could be wrong with my system?
can a lnb be blown and still show it is receiving signal?

Re: no picture
just connected stb and presto, watching tv. i did noticed , at home, when i did a factory reset and tried to re-scan satt, it would't pick-up anything. it would just go through the transponders as if there is nothing being broadcast.

You enabled the patch after you did a factory default right (F1 + 000), and did a hard reboot?
Mine hasn't been rolling properly lately but hard reboot always makes the autoroll kick in faster here.

Re: no picture
Are the channels not coming in when you scan?Or channels are scanning in but they are all scrambled?
if both antenna settings are identical, and you are receiving q/s above 70% then the LNB is working good. Now why don't you eliminate the other possible problems.
-Connect 1 LNB directly to the STB, bypassing any switches and see if you get any channels. This will indicate a bad switch.
-Also try using a different cable from the LNB to the STB you might have a bad/interrupted cable.
good luck

Re: no picture
well you still haven't said what you have.

like asked for before.its important to post all your info.otherwise its just all one big guessing game.hehe.

ok see this would have helped way back to mention that first.
1 lnb= 1 bird in the sky.if it has 2 outputs its for 2 receivers.
still only 1 bird.
you need to get yourself another dtv lnb and strap it beside the lnb you have now to get 2 birds.
search: poor mans dish
for more.

Re: no picture
oh.yup.i see he was just saying he got it at his buds house now.my bad.
ok.well first off.forget needing a switch for 1 legacy lnb.you don't.just want to clear that up.
ok.do a factory default-all please.
now go into antenna setting and setup echo 7 (doesn't matter where your pointed)
lnb type: standard
lnb freq: 11250
diseqc: auto or off don't matter.
change tps until you read quality.
what bird does it say at the bottom?
example:
"found echo7@119w"
do not scan anything yet.
