who wants to try converting to 650?
WARNING!!!THE FOLLOWING IS STRICTLY TESTING AND ONLY FOR TESTING PURPOSES. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IN WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR STB!!!
I went about finding the CW 650 Boot loader 3.02, which operates the bins. I've managed to actually get a hold of it, it's 48kb in size. My thought, as posted, is that we might be able to convert all 600P into 650's, by loading that 3.02 boot loader over top of the 600P's 3.01. Google for CX-LoaderV3.02.rar
Before ANYONE attempts this, make sure to UPLOAD as much as you can OFF your 600P ONTO your COMPUTER!!! That means your .sdx, etc. ALSO, anything you do in this guide from here on in, I am not responsible for. Your doing it. Your to blame if it goes wrong. THIS IS STRICTLY TESTING AND ONLY FOR TESTING PURPOSES.
This would have to be done via 600P's UpgradeV1.07, like a regular file. once the new boot loader is in place, you should be able to use 650's UpgradeV1.02 to load 650 bins to the 600P. Newest one for 650 is 1.13.
If this doesn't work, loading the 600P's factory bin (1.09) should bring it back to what everything should be when new. when you go to load the factory file, do it with UpgradeV1.07.

Re: who wants to try converting to 650?
I don't believe so, but again, This would be a first for converting with in the CW brand.
I guess for some, it'd be like converting their Panny2500Clone to a 2700. if ya'd like, leave me a private msg with your email address, and I'll email the 3.02 file to ya.
again, i'm not responsible if your stb blows up rofl.

Re: who wants to try converting to 650?
well, good luck there.if it works it would be cool as its said to come with added features that the 600s premium wouldn't be upgraded with latter.
i think if it did work tho,you would have to load your premium boot back too not just 109.
careful buddy.don't fry her lol.

Re: who wants to try converting to 650?
yes, listen to us, this is STRICTLY for testing purposes, we're not even sure if OUR boxes will survive this, that's why I'm waiting for a fix first, that way if I do hafta put 1.09 on to bring it back, i'll have the new file ready to put on as well.
THIS IS NOT FOR NEWBS, though they are welcome to try at their own expense! ABADSS.COM, NOR MYSELF ARE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU KILL YOUR STB!

Re: who wants to try converting to 650?
If I did this and it worked you think cw coders would figure it out and treat it as a clone, and post a bin that would fry the converted cw600p. I could stand to lose a couple 600p's. This is probably a dumb question but if you could figure a way to clone them think it would work.

Re: who wants to try converting to 650?
cloning would be easy enough, except when cloning it doesn't copy over the boot loader. That's why we're thinking conversion. Besides, they wouldn't be able to kill 600P's set as 650's, due to one reason: Once converted, the 600P would use 650 files. if they were to make fake 650 files, it would also kill a lot of 650's, which would be shooting themselves in the foot. No company (especially CW) is going to make fake files for a NEW product, as many would convert their stb to other brands, and not buy CW again.
