cw600s box to box complete clone.

Turn both box(s) off.
Attach Null Cable to Master and Slave unit
Turn on Master in boot Mode.
Turn on the Slave Receiver.
You should see the H in the Master Display.
Enter 444 in your remote to clone the entire box.
When -End appears on the master it's done.
You will not see anything on the new Unit in the display window at this time.
Turn both units off then back on again.
They will be Identical including all channel settings and lists if used.

(master will be the box that is all setup good.and slave will be the one that gets the copy from the master)

Re: Stuck in Boot

this is a cut and paste and i fixed mine useing it so it works

CW 800 UNIT STUCK WITH DISPLAY SHOWING "BOOT" or Displaying "BOOT" and screen Goes Bl

CW 800 UNIT STUCK WITH DISPLAY SHOWING "BOOT" or Displaying "BOOT" and screen Goes Bl
This is C&P by BeachBum

Here is my HOW TO GUIDE that I posted for my Members at my site .. It was written by me and IS NOT A C&P .. I am the author,

CW 800 UNIT STUCK WITH DISPLAY SHOWING "BOOT" or Displaying "BOOT" and screen Goes Blank

Well Here is a HOW TO FIX from my personal experience today.

I opened my CW 800 and set it up today ..

wasnt that hard to do ..

but was having an antenna setup problem but not what im here to discuss thats another problem.

and long story short ..

I Factory Defaulted then Re-Loaded the CW800 Factory File back to the unit.

As it started to Re-Boot it ended with the Display showing "BOOT" and there I was looking watching waiting for "BOOT" to go away ..

Well it didnt .. I was like OH SH*T ..WTF !! You get my drift ..

I shut off the unit and powered it back on ..

Boot came on for 1 -2 seconds then display went blank ..

I was like oh well I killed a box .. been a long time since my Blackbird days.. anyways ..

I took a breather and walked away .. went and got myself a beer and watched TV in my living room to clear my head. In this hobby its not good to do things while youre all flustered. Relax .. Go over the things you need to do and re check everything .. OK .. Beer Done .. Movie Watched..Feeling Better now Back to my CW 800 "BOOT" problem.

I opened the CW 800 Loader got my Null Cable and set the com port (for my Vista Desktop its Com Port 4) .. for your Computer it may be different you will have to try each one if necessary.

Now .. In order to get the BOOT to STAY on STEADY ..

You need to shut off the power switch on the back of the unit first.

Now with your Thumb of your left hand HOLD IN THE POWER BUTTON .. AT THE SAME TIME WITH YOUR OTHER HAND .. POWER ON THE CW800 FROM THE BACK.

Hold the power button approx 2 seconds more after it powers up .. and then you can let go and the "BOOT" should stay on by itself.

Now take your NULL CABLE and attach it to the back of the CW800.

On Loader Browse and Select the Latest BIN ( Make sure its Unziped) in my case since I just got this box yesterday I chose 1-18-08 bin.

I loaded this bin file into the Loader ... selected COM PORT 4 on loader..

Download S/W should be selected on Loader...

Now click START .. the 0% should start counting up .. to 100% when it finishes you will see "END"

Now you should be done.

Unhook the cable from the box ..

Power the CW800 OFF from the back .. take it back to the TV and Hook the antenna back up and wire it to your TV..

Power the unit on ... and you should see the unit now start to Boot Up as It Should .. it did for me ..

I went to many sites searching high and low .. seen people that had my same problem .. they all posted the same questions I was asking my cat sitting next to me staring at me with that YOU DUMB FU*K Look .. anyways .. all the threads I found with people asking for help went unanswered ...

so here is my HELP to you and others that might experience this stuck on "BOOT" problem .. I almost was ready to chaulk a dead box up on the board but its running fine now.
