yes i set it to port 1. however is it possible that i have a bad program for the loader

If you got it from this site, the loader should be working fine...this is where I got mine and I have had no problems with any files or software I have DLed from this site.

Just out of curiousity....how do you know it's on port one?

Just to be clear, I am talking about where you installed the USB adapter....not what you se on the loader.

Don't forget to make sure you have all the settings right and to Patch Enable your stb and then leave it on one channel for a while...it will say scrambled channel but after a while, if it didn't do it after you Patch Enable, the keys will update and you should be watching TV pretty soon.

To check to see what port your adapter is on go to devise manager and there should be a + beside the ports. Click on it and a dro[ down will show you all devises on all the ports in your system. This should show you what comport it is on
