Unhappy please help, when trying to load new bin, process bar wont move

update:

Got the wrong cable, if anyone have the same problem, no matter what the sales tells you, go for the $30 -- $40 one
make sure always ask for "DATA TRASFER" Cable

cheaper cable just dont work, also some null calble has only three wires in it.
and othe 9pin or 25pin to 9pin has different wiring designs.

--------------------------------
ORIGINAL:
Im new to STB, its my 1st time tying to load bin, but not the box's first time.

I used 2 null cables(one is printer comm port to 9pin null,
the other is USB serial + femal adapter)
I tried both "boot" & "stand by" mode
I tried to fac default the setting and disable/enable auto roll

Make sure you are using the null cable that came with the stb. When using the usb adapter did you install the driver?

Re: please help, when trying to load new bin, process bar wont move

i dont have a cable with the box
one of the cable is "null modem cable" on the package, one end is for printer port the other end is 9pin.

the usb cable is Nexxtech usb to serial cable with driver installed, and i can see it under - port - in hardware.

I think its the new file causing loader problems on some cw receivers, I had to clone one of my boxes to get it to load, all others I had to hit the start button very fast, the dashes only stayed up about 1 second. I tried and loaded the bin before this one and it worked ok. Maybe the next one will work.

The Null cable with Printer Port and 9 pin will not work.
And your USB to 9 pin also will not work unless you connect a Null cable to the 9pin on the usb cable and connect it to the Receiver.

Also when you load the new bin turn the power off on the front of the receiver and then click start on the loader. I've been doin this for over 2 years with mine and it works fine.

Re: please help, when trying to load new bin, process bar wont move

It could also be how you are hooking up your cable to the box. I have had similar issues by turning on the unit then hooking up the cable. I have to have the cable connected before I turn the unit on to boot mode.

the rs-232 cable u need for ur box is called : the null modem rs-232 serial cable ,, on some of them ,,the plug part of the cable,,it may have the letters NM on it if it does,,then u have the right cable,,if nothing is on the cable,,then perhaps u also have the wrong cable,,so go to bestbuy,,make sure u ask for the Null Modem rs-232 cable
