Obviously you haven't found the sat but I don't understand. What do you plan to see on that satelite with everything gone N3?

Re: Need (Q) signal ?
There is no working bin for your receiver. However, go to dishpointer.com, use your zip code and select the Sats you want and click on GO and get your elevation and azimuth magnetic and point the dish to those directions and slowly adjust to get the best Q.

The Vs Platinum can as of now, only be used for Free To Air. In order for you to see the programing on sat 110 and 119, you must subscribe (pay). There is no way to "set up" for Nagra3 for anybody. To people who feel that free to air is bothersome, I recomend a basic subscription.

Re: Need (Q) signal ?
ralmader - Unfortunately Viewsat receivers and several other brands as well have no fix for N3. Patience is the name of the game as of now.
The other alternative is to get yourself a 30 to 39" dish and a Linear LNB and try to pick up a TRUE Fta Satellite like 123W.

Re: Need (Q) signal ?
Obviously the dish is not correctly positioned. If it was then you will have a quality reading.
Your argument that the dish is facing the same as your neighbours does not hold water. If your dish is even one millimeter off either in the elevation or the Azimuth your signal will not come in.
For your information S is only an indication that the LNB is conversing with your receiver and Q is an indication that the receiver has made contact with the Sattelite.
As indicated by me in my earlier suggestion, you need to get the exact Elevation and Magnetic Azimuth for your Zip code in order to correctly setup your dish.
Please give me your Zip code and I will give you your exact coordinates for aligning the dish.

Re: Need (Q) signal ?
Here are your coordinates.
Elevation: 51.3 deg.
Azimuth Magnetic: 162.3 deg
Skew: 94.4 Deg. (Looking from behind the dish Clockwise.
First set the Elevation on the dish to approx: 51 .3 Deg.
Then using a compass set the dish to face 162.3 deg approx:
Have the dish Vertical.
Connect the cable from the 119W LNB to the receiver without a switch.
Go to Antenna Settings for your 119W and make sure you have all the correct settings.
I do not know what type of LNB that you have. Transponder set to 12239.
Now check the Signal and Quality. If you do not have any quality, keep moving the dish left or right in minute movements till you get a Quality reading. Keep moving till you get the best reading and tighten up the bolts.
Now adjust the elevation to increase the Q either up or down in miniscule amounts. Once you have the max reading tighten up.
You should have Quality at least 65% or more. Any less will not be enough.
Now connect the cable to 110W LNB and change to the Antenna settings for 110W. The transponder should be 12224.
Now skew the dish looking from the rear of the dish in a clock wise direction till you get Q reading to max. Lock up.
You are done.
Unfortunately now you need to wait for a N3 Bin.

Re: Need (Q) signal ?
ralmader, dishpointer. com is very easy to use. It shows you where you live by satellite maps, locate your home, go to the upper part of the map and select the satellite you want to aim to. Automatically a green line appears on the map showing the direction you shou aim your dish.
N3 is a security system that cannot let you see any channels on DN there is no fix for that actually, that is why many people don't even bother to aim at any DN birds.
When you are on a site like this, it is expected for you to do a search and read about the experiences of the other members. As soon as you enter the page, you see a post about N3 that says "I am down", "DN down" etc. and there you will find the answers you want.
No body wanted to be rude with you, just practice searching first, then ask.
By the way, the best meter to find a satellite and it's free, is your stb (VS2000 platinum in your case) by itself. I don't have a box like that, but most of them has and rf connector that says TV/VCR out. You connect a coaxial there and get the other end next to your antenna. Connect a portable TV, turn it on at channel 3 or 4, and the same thing you see on your tv down inside your home, you will see it in your portable tv. Go to antenna setup and use the signal meter from that menu to fine tune your antenna.
Have a good day!
