problem with box

i have a VS2000 Platinum. It when off when they changed the bins. My friend said he could fix it and something happened. I used to just change the Nagra codes almost everyday. But now even with the new bins installed, there is no longer any nagra code option. I tried reloading the virgin file and all the main files and everything but the nagra code option basically is non existant. I no longer get tv at all off the box. It turns on but says no audio or video and the guide only says no information, something went wrong when this guy messed with it and was wondering if anyone had any ideas that i can reload this thing to work.

this is how you load the latest file, (080523p):


how to load a bin file
1. download newest bin file from proper area.
2. MAKE SURE you unzip the file (I use winrar). unzip to desktop.
3. open loader 1 or 2 program, whichever one you have.
4. click open files and select desktop.
5. double click file or drag file to loader program. 6. click "open". file appears in box. select it and click open one more time.
7.file is now ready to load onto stb. IMPORTANT- turn switch on back of receiver off
now if you havent done it already.
8. connect your usb- serial cable to the pc and stb now.
if you have a usb stick you dont use the cable
9. click the pc-stb button.
10. turn on the stb with the switch on back now.
11. wait for the file to load and the word "end" to dissapear and the channel # to
return. turn off again with switch on back before you disconnect the usb-serial cable.
12. file is now loaded, reconnect to tv and turn on again only after all connections are done.
13. wait for new file to autoroll and commence testing enjoyment!!
when that is done scan for channels, here is how to do that:

how to autoscan:
1) press menu- go to installation- then autoscan.
2) select the sats you want to scan from the list.
3)press the OK button to start the scan.
as each tp scans you should see the # of channels going up.

if you leave on ch 0200 for 30 sec or so the guide should populate instead of no info.
go into options and make sure autoroll is on.

you need to turn on autoroll and select dn and bev. you dont ever have to load in keys if that is turned on, apparently it is not. if it does not display the key entry area than autoroll is on but maybe not for the provider your trying to watch.

check settings turn off tp when rescaning also do a factory reset and rescan... this should work

you might check your tps and mak sure there all there last time i worked on mine i lost a tp re added it then it was fine allso make sure your on echostar package or all sat hit sar button on your remote and check your sats
