which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
Hi e1 ... you did such a great job with help last time hoped ya might be able to do it again... I read back thru alot of help posts because I thought I saw this problem before but couldn't find it and search wouldn't bring up anything. So very sorry if you have to do a repeat.
I was given a preprogrammed VS 2000 P. They said it worked great but didn't want to dl fixes (to much hassle) when I hooked it up it just auto rolled - let it do that about 5 mins then dl last VS fix from 5-22 ...no go
It's been unplugged for a few months, so it couldn't get info from sat...
which dl should I put on it to get it up again, opkeys? factory files? or was the last fix all I could do?
Thanks in advance .... Jynxie

Re: which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
Thanks bobo .... think thats it? it is a VS 2000 platnm (according to Tomcat?) I don't have BEV on my dish - I have DN on 110 & 119 .... I just recently had to ask for help on my VS Plat lite and was told I didnt need the BEV then.
If this is different please let me know......

Then you should be good with the file above, it's for platinums.

Re: which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
Hey Jynx, stb's aren't provider specific. If you want bev you can certainly have it if you want. Do you have an extra LNB and dish?? Or place on the LNB arm for more LNBs??

Re: which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
Thanks zeke but for now I think I'll stick to what I have till I'm more familiar with fta.
....So here is where I'm at with the *dusty* VS2000 plat DN with dual lnb on sat 110 & 119
1.) I put the lastest VS Plat dl on it -twice-(even threw in the BEV dl for good measure..*re did the VS DN dl after the BEV) let is auto roll about 5+ mins.
2.) I double checked the cables and ch switch - all are same as my VS lite (which works but glitches on half the 119 ch)
3.) I get the guide - but no pics/vol - several ch in guide have info listed, the rest say no info.
The S runs @ 81-90 & Q runs @ 39-60
the signal appears to be getting thru ...
so back to my original question... is there another dl that I should put on it since it was disconnected from sat for a few months? or should I just let it roll an hour or so?...
any other ideas?

Re: which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
You can put a factory file first if you want. The Q which is actually signal strength is low, 60 and above is ok but dipping below 60 could mean dish might need a slight tweek.

Re: which dl do I need for dusty VS 2000
thanks bobo ... will go out and recheck that also..
the fella that installed it only put in 2 bolts.. so I had put in a couple more and made sure it was tight then, but he had some kinda meter to set the dish with.
I dont know how to tweek it, as far as moving the lnb.
