Missing TPs on Nimiq1
Don't watch TV that much, so I did not notice it until now. The following TPs on Nimiq1 are missing on a VS Plat - 4,8,10,12,18,22,24,26.
Using a standard 18" dish via 22Khz(=ON) switch as I have other LNBs coming in also thru 22Khz=OFF.
Suspecting it is an LNB problem. Any ideas?
Antenna settings
LNB Type - Standard (using legacy LNB)
LNB Freq - 11250
LNB Freq - 11250 (S=72, Q=77)
On the TPs I mention, S = 72, but Q = 0. I think this has been the case since several years.
Thanks.

Re: Missing TPs on Nimiq1
yeah it sounds like a faulty LNB or faulty port on the switch, since you have another LNB, just replace the one aimed at 91W and run it directly to the STB and see if it scans all TPs.
I had a similar problem not too long ago, and in my case it was a faulty diseq port.
it's good to see you jpeterson,

Thanks. vtoskov. Good to be back. Been traveling a lot -- out of the country.
I will replace the LNB and see if that fixes it.

Re: Missing TPs on Nimiq1
Tried 4 different LNBs and it did not work. No quality whatsoever on those specific TPs.
Don't know if being in California would make a difference. Long time ago when there were two sats, N1 and N3, those TPs from N3 could not be received on the west coast. I had thought that N3 went away and all TPs were now on N1.
Not sure if that is the case and if anyone from CA(US west coast) is having the same problem as I with Nimiq.
Tomcat - Will PM you. Thanks for the offer.

Re: Missing TPs on Nimiq1
Hmmm!!!!
Very very puzzling. Tried the new sat file. And that did not change things. Also am running a CW 800PVR via the same setup. And I get the same results.
I have ruled out the LNB. So I am now down to alignment. Do you guys think that alignment could mask out some TPs while others are very strong (S=80, Q=90+) on 12224?
Thanks.
