receiving signal problem

viewsat platinum lite, had a storm, was able to default and reload everything, it will not accept or show sat signal, i hooked it to a friends working viewsat and still would not show signal, is the sat in post fried or what

Do a factory reset. Remember to write down your settings cause you will lose them. Let us know

did your dish get hit/ maybe lnb is fried try replacing it...

having same trbl with vs-extreme.....not getting anything > no signal > like box not sending out > and didn't have a storm....,

did a factory default, cloned it from a working box, theirs shows signals, mine still don't, someone told me to do a clean file, junk fix, i don't know what that is other that factory default, put in factory bin and load the newest bin, that did not work either

also, hooked up to a working lnb and it still doesn't show signal

Switch your LNB out/ change cable wire, check all connections

just changed out wires, checked lnbs, also did a virgin file,which included a satinfo, chaninfo, and a maininfo, put in the fatory bin, then loaded the newest bin, hooked it up and for a second it flashed a signal, so now i think i need to check my dish to find signal, can you tell me the coordinates for the dish pro

Go to DishPointer.com - Satellite Finder / Dish Alignment Calculator with Google Maps......... This will help you find your numbers for the location in which you live.
