Question switch info needed

ok my vs is workin just great with my dp quad lnb....however i will be upgrading to an hd receiver soon and im also curious about bev programming. my question is...what type of switches can i use that are compatible with 4 dp duals. i heard that directv 4x8 switch will work but im not sure. would like sum feedback because i have that switch and i also have a dpp 44 switch on hand but didnt have any luck with it when i attempted the first time. anyways...thanks in advance to all for any and all feedback on this.

Re: switch info needed

if you just want to add a dish for bev then just a 4x1 disq will work

Re: switch info needed

i tried that b4 as well but the receiver wasnt strong enuff to power all lnb....i had to go into settings and turn power off to 1 of the other lnb to gain the sat i wanted to watch. that why i asked what kind of switch will be compatable to power all 4 birds so i dont have to do the above.

Take a look at this...

I think you will need the SW-21 switch...

Re: switch info needed

a sw21 switch is not what ill be needing. im asking what kind of powered switches are compatible. i know that usually these fta receivers put out a lower voltage than the actual dish network receivers and legacy equipment is hard to come by since everything has been updated to dish pro or dish pro plus. soooooo....does anyone know if the 4x8 switch that directv uses will be compatible with dp duals? if not....what option do i have to ensure that i will have enuff voltage to power all lnb's in order to watch either bird at any given time without have to manually switch lnb's on and off in the settings? im a contract installer so i know the configurations for any and all dish network receivers but these fta's are slightly different and more sensitive than im familiar with.

Re: switch info needed

dp44 should work just fine w/ 4-dp duals.
