okay i have hooked up my vsat plat and entered the sat settings from my other reciever. i down loaded the last file but during the end of sending to my reciever it said fail, so no channel no nothing, this is a new reciever do i need to do anything else to it to make it work???

you may need a factory file, sat info file or opkey file. do you have all those installed?
if so try loading the bin file again, 3 times if you need to and it should work.
post back with results.

i don't know if i do or not, i will play more and check back with you, if i do and reload anyway will it hurt anything? btw this is a new reciever so i don't know if i have to load what you were talkin about or not, where do i find the factory files you are talking about, even better where can i go to read what i need and instructions on how to do everything correctly. I do have a reciever up and running so i do know how to fix it when we get new files. I am just really confused right now. I used all the setting for my reciever from the other reciever.

make sure yoiu are using the right cable null modem or it will fail everytime

i am using everything the same as my other reciever which is a vsplat too.

the files you are looking for should be in the viewsat general downloads and viewsat platinum downloads. load them again to be sure you have them, should be fine.

BTW just in case you overlooked ensure that you UNZIP the files before transporting to the reciever n also endure you have current loader n file in the same folder..also ensure firm hookups between PC/Notebook & reciever - turn d back switch on as you get ready to transfer d file..enjoy..

ok let me explain a little better, i have a vsplat up and running, well it is not all running right now because we are down, but anyway, i bought a new vsplat, and i am using the loader 2 with the 2 hands,now im not sure if this is what i am suppose to be using, i use the loader 2 with the 2 swords to load new fixes on my working box. On the new one i am not sure what i am doing wrong, but i have tried to load the vsvirginfiles, but it tells me failed, now i don't know if im using the right loader or not, could you tell me the difference in the two, also, which vsplatvirgin file am i suppose to use. I have been watching the tuturial, and it is very helpful, it is just as im downloading i don't think im downloading the right files, could you help me please. thank you for all your help.

hunny first off you use the loader 2 with the null cable then do a factory reset then load a factory bin then do another factory reset then load a current bin then load your sat and channels and reset all your settings like the lnb type and your diseq switch setting and it should be ok after that

wow you said a mouth full, thanks, where do i find out how to do a factory reset, omg what is that, how do i do it. Not sure what im looking for, because i don't know where to go to find it

Go to menu then to user settings and over and down tofactory default and click on yes then log back on the web site and go to viewsat files and look for factory bin and download it and unzip it then load it like you do everything else with loader 2 thats the one with the 2 hands shakeing
